26 February 2008 -- The DangersOfFacebookSocialising? What are the ramifications of having your Facebook account deleted?
29 June 2007 -- Found this oddly boring-looking site http://www.soj.org/calendar.html recently.
27 March 2007 -- HaHaRIAALawsuits.
29 January 2007 -- RandomThoughtsFromIRC.
28 January 2007 -- It's a new year. I didn't make any resolutions. It's okay. I think I'm pretty happy with how my life is.
25 October 2006 -- Recently there's been some speculation about the value of Digg, with some bizarre factoids about our monthly unique visitors.
25 September 2006 -- Revision3 Launch coming up soon. There are a lot of celebrities and reporters at the Digg Offices getting ready to cover the event.
7 September 2006 -- I spent a long weekend modifying the Sjeng chess engine to play what SethK is calling Decachess, Chess played on a 10x10 board. You can find that over at the Technical.HundredSquareChess wikipage. Today, Mike, Ron and I attempted a game against it on our homemade Decachess board in the office. We set it at depth=7, and it really isn't looking good. Take a gander at Technical.DiggEmployeesVsTheComputer.
24 August 2006 -- The neocon ultra right-wing invasion of Digg continues.
22 August 2006 -- Wow. I can now suspend my Linux laptop. I think. The drama goes there.
15 August 2006 -- Okay, people, PhoneUsingDrivers don't drive that bad. Fucking let it go.
7 August 2006 -- EbayIsFullOfScamArtists and as far as I can tell, they just don't care.
28 July 2006 -- DiggAndAllTheControversy. I guess when you ban users for violating TOS, and they write up their version of the events (leaving out, you know, the ONLY RELEVENT FACTS, it's inevitable that the haters will hate on you).
28 July 2006 -- I thought the US was getting bad before. But today I've started to see the DeathOfHumanity.
10 May 2006 -- I bought an iPod. I'm running it on Linux. Read all about it on iPodOnLinux.
4 April 2006 -- I decided to copy all my entries from my Friendster Blog to this web site.
05 December 2005 -- Employed by http://digg.com Digg,Inc now. An amusing crew. A challenging and fun job. I'm loving it.
17 September 2005 -- Wow. Um. Quit Friendster and came back to ThereInc to do data warehouse building. Get to do some fun stuff with Map/Reduce. Mostly just churning through terabytes of this data and putting it into gigabytes of database tables for analysis.
2 February 2005 -- I'm l33t now?
30 January 2005 -- Found some cool tutorials about how to rig 3D meshes at a site called Son of Pat.
16 November 2004 -- Verchantelle was born. Yay. Now I have a baby. It's December now. As you can imagine, having a baby is a lot of fun.
18 October 2004 -- Garr! My IOgear 4-port Miniview KVM switch has gone dead-mode. It was working earlier, and now, the mouse doesn't work. I guess I should have seen it coming. The thing was getting kind of flaky. Now and then the keyboard wouldn't register until I manually flipped ports using the button on the switch. Looking up reviews of the thing, it turns out the only way to reset this beast is to unplug every cable (you did tightly screw in all your VGA cables, right?) then plug them back in again. A major ordeal when the switch isn't within easy grasp. Buyer beware, I guess.
October 2004 -- I tried putting my artwork up on Blenderman, a website for Blender artwork, but they revolted. They don't like nude art. So I created my own (gallery-based) site for such things: http://faemalia.com. It might not have hit DNS yet. Try on Tuesday or Wednesday, October 12,13 2004.
18 September 2004 -- And lately, I've been playing with Blender, the open source modelling and rendering tool (http://blender.org). You can find many of the renders at http://faemalia.net/Blender. I'm looking for someone to collaborate with me. I need someone who knows Blender, texture mapping, environment building (trees, props, etc). And possibly someone who's an animator who can better rig my model with inverse kinematics and start animating her.
16 August 2004 -- Belated news of my move from ThereInc to FriendsterInc. Now I'm a Friendster employee! w00. A lot of big MySQL? databases ensure that soon I'll be making a MySQL? DBA Knowledge Repository. Actually, I just made it. But there's only a little bit in it now.
01 July 2004 -- Fenny is pregnant with a baby girl. I've put together some thoughts on what to name her.
22 May 2004 -- W00! I went on my fun walking tour and learned a little bit of history about JapanTown in SanFrancisco. I'll definitely be going on a followup tour.
22 May 2004 -- ThereInc laid off some more people. I'm going to go for some free walking tours.
27 April 2004 -- The Allegory of Saturday Morning
24 March 2004 -- The Handshake.
26 February 2004 -- Last night I saw The Passion of the Christ by That Mel Gibson, and oh, my. If this movie doesn't kill his writing/directing career, nothing will. Update! The movie is super-popular. This is sad and sickening. It ensures that not only will it NOT kill Mel Gibson's writing/directing career, but that more crap like this movie will flood the theatres. I feel like I'm living in a fundamentalist Christian militant fascist state.
20 January 2004 -- Wow. The premier site for tasteful nudes, DOMAI, has an art contest up, and my artwork (among others) is shown as the sort of thing that will win the contest. What an ego boost!
9 January 2004 -- New Year! Wow. But some people were laid off from my current employer, ThereInc. A sad time, but apparently necessary in these dark tech days. In other news, my wife, Fenny, is a permanent residence without conditions! Now, I have to be careful, because she can divorce me. (shudder) ;)
4 October 2003 -- Good news! God has personally visited Earth and given us the DivineProofOfGodsExistance! Hallelujah!
5 May 2003 -- 'Ray! My consulting days are drawing to a close. I've been offered full-time status at one There, Inc. A little more information at ThereInc.
20 April 2003 -- Finally! I finally got around to downloading all the AnythingBox songs, and I'm relatively pleased.
13 March 2003 -- I saw Le Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain (Amélie), which was definitely one of the less common of the PopularMovieGenres.
Mar 2003 -- I'm in Sacramento for the indeterminable future. It is near mid-March. The weather is nice, the girls are friendly, and overall it's a GoodTimeToBeAlive.

There are some real bad companies out there, and some neutral ones. Try to find and work with the neutral ones.
Recently I bought a Dell laptop, which ultimately turned out to be a mistake, but I want you to learn from my mistakes. Read about TheDellFiasco here.
I suppose there are a lot of out-of-work tech workers these days. If you're an out-of-work tech worker, see how TheMormomsSurvive when they've become a useless wasteoid.
