The Apocrypha, or more correctly, The Genuinely Real Apocrypha, is simply a collection of writings contemporary with much of the work that comprises the Books of the modern Bible, but which, for one reason or another, didn't make it into the generally accepted edition we know today. Because obviously the Absolute Literal Word of A Living God was always going to need a bit of a trim here and there, just for style and clarity you understand. No, no, of course the reason it needed editing wasn't anything to do with the fundamental requirement for the Bible being that it support the principles of social-control expounded by a self-serving corrupt religio-political state.
