- Code generator plugin (need the link here)
- Rumored plugin for SQL output (Faemalia.PhiloVivero: It doesn't exist. For now, we use tedia2sql)
- Embedded links in the diagrams (Faemalia.PhiloVivero: I believe it's fiction)
I would wager that Dia is, for now, simply a layout tool. It isn't a Visio replacement yet. Until Dia completes its GNOME1-->GNOME2 transformation, most real development will be halted. I guess I should qualify this: since Lars, Hans, et al are working primarily on the GNOME2 port, and since the CVS is in such a state of flux, those of us wanting to other development are developing against a moving target. I personally plan to create a SQL ERD shape set to facilitate in generating SQL from within Dia. I think that we could get a lot of bang-for-buck if one export option was to export via pipe to an external program (like tedia2sql). Then, Dia wouldn't need a "SQL output" plugin. It would just need to save to an output stream. -- PhiloVivero - 12 Oct 2002 Thanks for the update Philo! I appreciate the heads up! -- DennisDaniels - 14 Nov 2002
