This is offered in all humility. As I've worked with DIA I find myself bumping against 'stuff', and I've tried to capture some of that for your consideration.

• Toolbar > Help > Include link to this wiki
• file> save as...>html with a png/svg/etc AND the source code for the diagram as well to speed/aid in collaboration
• The four lines in the diagram editor do not allow for text names to be attached to the line.
• When drawing connectors, on rollover with connector active, the target rolled over object goes hot, and allows user to 'drag and drop' connectors without having to 'find' the anchor on the object.
• activate delete key as way of removing unwanted objects

  • branch items do not allow for text in the object
  • association lines support text names
