Things I want done for version 0.92:

• Parenting:
  • Undo support -- very important!
    • Done 7/8
  • Add menu items for parenting and unparenting single objects.
    • Single item unparenting done 31/7
  • Consider the file format -- old versions of Dia can't see children.
  • Correctly handle objects created partly inside, partly outside a parent.
    • Minor issue though. They can now be individually unparented.

• Autorouting:
  • Need undo to work -- very important!
    • Done 31/7
  • Need direction indications on remaining objects (shapes in particular).
    • Almost all done now.

• UI:
  • Need some indication on the left/right arrow icons that these are for selecting arrowheads. I've had several bugreports of people who couldn't figure that out:(
    • Nah, ignoring for now. There be tooltips.

• Other:
  • Apply remaining patches.
    • Done, it seems.
  • Get Win32 runtimes in order.
    • Stefan is working on it. New 0.91 release seems to be good.
  • Look at remaining important bugs.

Some things I'd like to consider for the next release:

• Better text entry (using a GtkTextView^?)
• Object highlighting for user feedback.
• Rotation, at least an implementation in the renderers and some primitive interface.
• Conversion of remaining non-stdprops objects. Requires new PropList^? implementation to be finished.
• More persistence -- perhaps integrate with preferences.
• Redesign preference dialog(s): Make them instant-apply, reduce # of options.
• Export options should be in the export dialog.
• Improve the FontStructure.

Some things for the general future:

• More use of object menus, in particular for sheet-specific things.
• Download of shapes from other sites.
• Better structure for sheets selection -- something with subgroups. Perhaps submenus will do for now.
